SMA Solar Technology AG press release One of Every Two PV System Operators In Germany Relies On Inverters From SMA Niestetal, October 22, 2019 – SMA Solar Technology AG is the most well-known inverter manufacturer in Germany. This is the result of the “EndkundenMonitor 9.0”, a study of the German PV market conducted by independent market research company EuPD Research. Nearly 2,000 solar system owners and planners participated in the online survey. Almost one out of every two PV system owners with a PV system of up to 40 kWp opts for PV inverters from SMA. This means SMA continues to be the most widely sold inverter brand in Germany. "We are delighted that the customers are convinced by our products and systems," said SMA CEO Jürgen Reinert. "With its high-quality and innovative solutions, SMA helps enable more and more people to opt for a sustainable energy supply. The results of the “EndkundenMonitor 9.0” reconfirm that the efficiency and quality of our solutions meet with a broad positive response." The new SMA Energy Systems are making it even easier for our customers to continue relying on a climate-friendly and cost-effective energy supply in the future. The system packages contain perfectly matched hardware and software as well as services for PV, storage and energy management as well as monitoring in households and businesses. SMA also achieves top scores in the categories satisfaction and recommendation as well as purchase realisation and in some cases leads significantly ahead of its competitors. In addition to questions concerning inverters, modules, etc., the study by EuPD Research explored experiences with monitoring and maintenance of PV systems. The participants of the study were asked about their attitudes toward battery-storage systems, e-mobility and cloud and community solutions. For further results from the study, see here. Here you will find more information on the new SMA Energy Systems.
